Zone Map- Walking Distances

A lot of young people in the borough jump on a bus for really short journeys that could easily have been walked. This adds to overcrowded buses and slows journey times. In the map, the zone shown around the school is a 2km radius which could be walked in about 30 minutes. Walking makes it easier to plan your journey time since you don’t have to wait around for buses. We are encouraging our students to walk to school wherever possible to reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and the certainty of arriving  to school on time and ask that all parents and carers support and encourage students to do so.  To view the map click here.

If you use the car to drive your daughter or son to school, please consider driving part of the way and drop them off a few streets away. This helps build exercise into everyday routines and contributes to the hour a day of physical exercise that everyone should get. 

And for those students that enjoy cycling, we also have plenty of cycle parking onsite.
