Ski Italy 2017
43 students will have the opportunity to go on a ski trip to Bardonecchia in the Italian Alps travelling by
coach; leaving on Friday 31st March 2017 and returning on Friday 07th April 2017, after the evening meal. The trip will be organised with Skibound, who have extensive experience of working with school groups.
We anticipate arriving back in London on Saturday 8th April 2017 at around 11:00 in the morning. Please note this trip is for 2017 which gives you time to plan. We shall be leaving on Friday 31st March via an evening ferry from Dover and travelling through some breath-taking scenery with the expectation of arrival at the resort around lunchtime the following day.
Our accommodation (Olympic Village Hotel) in Bardonecchia is very comfortable with rooms accommodating between two and five children and all the rooms having their own toilets and shower facilities. The food at the hotel is excellent.
Bardonecchia, located on the Italian side of the Milky Way, Sauze d’Oulx has always been regarded as one of Italy’s best-loved ski resorts providing access to a wide variety of perfect piste. Bardonecchia holds onto tradition built from hosting the first ever Italian Ski Championships. Offering first-class skiing, an alpine setting, with its wide variety of runs this resort provides stimulating runs for skiers of all abilities. Our school group will enjoy the safe, friendly atmosphere of the resort and the best possible skiing for whatever level your son/daughter may be. In the evening, Bardonecchia is a great place to be for après–ski. There are facilities for swimming, ice skating and shopping, which will provide your son/daughter a really fun-packed programme. Skibound will also provide a programme of evening entertainment.
Ski trips are hugely beneficial on many levels – not least health and fitness but also culturally and socially. Ski trips allow students to develop new skills and overcome challenges and barriers to learning. They enable students to have a social and cultural reference point for their future lives. This is an experience that will stay with them forever.
