Ofsted 2018

The new Post 16 Leadership Team is making a raft of improvements to the sixth-form. As a result, teaching and pastoral support have markedly improved and the curriculum offer is increasing from next September. Students work diligently and are making good progress in their academic and vocational studies. Students are able to make informed choices about their future careers as they benefit from good impartial advice.

Open Evening 30th October 2019:  5pm-8pm

Following our recent Ofsted, Plumstead Manor Sixth Form is growing in it's numbers as well as it's strength.

We are able to offer a wide range of subjects covering both the academic as well as the vocational routes which is at the heart of the Sixth Form.  Throughout a student's time within the Sixth Form they will benefit from a wide range of experiences outside of their study, allowing them to become a more rounded student that is ultimately better prepared for the world of work or higher education.  Within the academic year of 2018/19 this has included:

  • Academic drop down days - including Goldsmiths personal statement sessions, MyBnk personal finance, UniFrog as well as use of our Prospects careers advisers.
  • Health and well being drop down days - Metro sexual health talks, Street Doctors first aid training, Prevention of Youth Suicide talk, Sexplain Workshops.
  • Visits for whole year groups - Skills for London, Safe Drive, Stay Alive.
  • Assemblies - Accenture, apprenticeships, NCS, Mark Evision and many more.
  • Work Experience - 2 weeks of work experience for year 12 students with some students undertaking placements at Charlton Athletic, Deloitte, Tata Consultancy, 10 Downing Street, Cushman and Wakefield and many, many more.

As well as the above we also have brilliant facilities including a dedicated Sixth Form building with its own study area and catering facilities as well as high quality IT facilities and a new library.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Sixth Form as a student or would feel that you have insight that could be shared with our students in regards to work, apprenticeships or higher education please do not hesitate to contact the team via email at
