School Police Officer
Most schools in Greenwich Borough have a dedicated Police Officer in order to promote positive community relations and to promote harmony and safety for students. PC Karen Brown has been appointed as the school officer with responsibility for Plumstead Manor from January 2015. PC Karen Brown has been a Metropolitan Police Officer since 2002 and has had a varied career, spending one year working with the Safer Neighbourhood team in Thamesmead, working within the community. Her roles within Plumstead Manor will include working very closely with the Key Stage Leaders and the Pastoral Liaison Workers to help improve the five key areas of safeguarding for our students. These areas are;
- Be healthy
- Stay Safe
- Enjoy and Achieve
- Make a Positive Contribution
- Economic Well-being
If you have concerns about your child at Plumstead Manor please speak with a member of staff at the school first. They will direct you or your child to PC Brown if required. She has already spent much time with our students and she is an important link between us and the wider community. Having an on-site School Police Officer is important way of us further promoting a successful and harmonious community.
