Plumstead Manor Qualities
The Plumstead Manor qualities are skills that underpin all learning. They are attributes that we encourage the students to develop in all subjects and we reward the students for demonstrating these qualities in their lessons and homework.
To that end we are developing an approach to learning which sees several key qualities or attributes as central to future success. They will result in higher attainment, better progress and ultimately better grades and outcomes in Year 11 and Year 13. These are the dispositions that bind together the powerful knowledge and deep understanding so important to future success and are shown in THE ROSE diagram below.
We have built our curriculum planning around these qualities, and created a praise and reward system which focuses on them. Teachers plan schemes of learning around these and embed them into lessons. They are vital because they help young people understand how they learn and so become more successful in the future.
